Description
In this clay sculpture, Maryam Eskandari transforms the human torso into a living architecture of fragility and strength. Half flesh, half wall, the form suggests how we build barriers within ourselves — walls of memory, protection, and survival. The cracks and missing fragments reveal vulnerability, while the enduring bricks symbolize resilience. This duality between body and structure speaks to the human condition: we are both the fortress and the ruins, carrying within us the silent echoes of time, struggle, and endurance.
